His appreciation

Valentin Rongier was immediately valuable by clearing a dangerous ball after an opportunity from Balogun (4th). He then brought real solidity to the midfield with his precise passes and his clear ideas. However, his performance was tarnished by a passing error in the first period, which directly led to ASM opening the score (41st). Despite this blunder, Rongier did not give up and continued to make the game more fluid, contributing to the collective organization of OM. He has waste in certain transmissions, which can be expensive, but he brings a lot defensively, in balance and projection…

Media notes

Team Rating 5/10

Valuable from the outset to clear a hot ball after Balogun's opportunity (4th), he did a lot of good in the middle with his clear ideas. But his performance was tarnished by his missed pass, which opened the score for ASM (41st). However, he did not get discouraged and continued to make the game more fluid.

Maxifoot rating 5/10 excellent in Lens, the midfielder delivered a good match overall with 109 balls touched and a lot of work on recovery (6 interceptions). But his score is inevitably impacted by his error: the former player cost his team a goal with a loss of ball which led to the opening of the Monegasque score. In the second half, he lost a new ball which offered Minamino a scoring opportunity.
Note from FootMercato 7.5/10 Author of a sparkling performance during the victory at Lens, the former Nantes player once again started in the Marseille midfield. Very interesting in the first moments, OM number 21 unfortunately spoiled his first act by being guilty of a fatal loss of the ball, leading to the opening of the Monegasque score (41st). An error which should not, however, call into question his still very solid performance overall (6 duels won out of 9, 11 balls recovered, 6 interceptions).
