Adi Hütter, the Monaco coach, appeared very frustrated after his team's defeat on the OM pitch this Sunday, at the end of the thirteenth day of Ligue 1 (2-1).
Adi Hütter, Monaco coach, said on Sunday that his team did not “deserve to lose” against Marseille, who won 2-1 at the Stade Vélodrome. “We didn't deserve to lose. We should have taken at least a point. But we're making too many mistakes at the moment. Their first goal was a gift and the second came from an unlucky hand. We didn't have marked on the gifts they gave us,” Hütter said.
“It was a pretty good match but it is difficult to accept this defeat. I am satisfied with the performance but not with the result. It should have been a draw,” he added. The setback conceded on Sunday evening at the Vélodrome is the second of the week for Monaco, already beaten on Wednesday by Benfica in the Champions League (2-3).
“We were at their level”
“With Benfica, we weren't able to prepare very well. But we expected the way OM played. We'll have to come back. This defeat is hard to accept because we were at their level” , estimated Hütter. “But we make too many mistakes for matches at this level, in the Champions League or against a team aiming for the Champions League,” added the Austrian technician.
