Huge victory for against the LFP!

In recent hours, the judicial court has allowed to win a big battle on the tense issue of rights. According to l'Equipe, the Norman club obtained a precautionary seizure of 7.5 million euros on the accounts of LFP Media, after contesting the unfair distribution of funds from CVC, an investment of 1.5 billion euros in the Professional League (LFP).

LFP Media seized by justice!

While Ligue 1 clubs received between €33 million and €200 million, Le Havre only received €1.5 million, half of what Ligue 2 clubs received. The senators have already criticized this distribution, emphasizing that Le Havre, although having reached Ligue 1, received twenty times less than its competitors. In its request, the club denounced “eminently unfair” treatment, emphasizing that for two seasons in Ligue 1, it has been struggling with clubs benefiting from much more substantial aid.

The Paris judicial court considered that the HAC's debt was credible and that its recovery was threatened, which led to the precautionary seizure. This decision comes before the distribution of the remainder of the CVC contribution, a distribution which could grant the HAC an additional €500,000 to €700,000, bringing its total to only €2 million. The Senate recommended that future funds be distributed in a 1 to 3 ratio between clubs. The LFP can, however, challenge this seizure in court.
