Olivier Dall'Oglio praised a central defender of theASSE before the match against Stade Rennais on Saturday. The Greens coach is obviously counting on the new rock of the Saint-Etienne defense to achieve a second clean sheet after the one against Montpellier HSC.
ASSE regains defensive solidity
ASSE is among the most permeable defenses in Ligue 1. However, the Greens seem to have turned things around in the last two matches. They only conceded one goal during the derby against OL, then followed up with a victory against Montpellier HSC without conceding a goal (1-0).
Olivier Dall'Oglio is delighted with this improvement and would like to particularly congratulate Dylan Batubinsika, one of the pillars of the Saint-Etienne defense.
Batubinsika scores a header, Dall'Oglio satisfied with his progress
The coach notes significant progress from the Congolese international since his arrival at ASSE in July 2023.
“Regarding Dylan, he was able to analyze his weak points, in particular his lack of concentration and his recovery. He showed great lucidity in identifying his mistakes and working on them”he stressed. “It is an essential quality to be able to recognize one's faults, accept them and invest oneself in correcting them. That's exactly what he did.”insisted the Greens technician.
Precisely, Olivier Dall'Oglio particularly appreciates the progress of Dylan Batubinsika during the last two ASSE meetings. “By watching the images of his last matches, I could see that he had been valuable. He has reached a milestone in terms of concentration. This is an area in which he is constantly progressing, but we must continue this momentum. He makes real efforts and that satisfies me,” he pointed out.
The Congolese defender has started 10 times in 12 Ligue 1 matches this season. He is the second most used outfield player at ASSE since the start of the championship, just behind Zuri Davitashvili.
