In an interview with journalist Timothé Crépin, the former defender of the Girondins de Bordeaux, Malcom Bokéléspoke about his relationship with his two former Bordeaux teammates, Dilane Bakwa and Junior Mwanga.
“I knew Junior from before Bordeaux. To this day, they're still my friends. In Bordeaux, we were together all the time… We went to the cinema, we went to eat… The three of us did everything. We pushed ourselves a lot, and that’s what made us have a great season that season.”
Then he gave an anecdote about Dilane Bakwa.
“One day, we make an opposition, we put the ball through him, and we both run. We got closer to the line, there was the fence, and he was so scared that he shouted 'Malcolm stop, stop, stop'.
What was his biggest laugh in the Bordeaux locker room?
“There were a lot of them (laughs). I couldn't say, but there were some… When we made fun of Junior… Even fits of laughter because at the end of training I was angry, or because I had lost… There were some really had too many laughs in Bordeaux.”
