Again author of a hat-trick this week in the Youth League against Bayern Munich (5-2), Mahamadou Sangaré will clearly be one of the players to follow in the years to come in the capital.
At just 17 years old, Mahamadou Sangaré is establishing himself as one of the revelations of the start of the season with the Paris Saint-Germain youth teams. Author of impressive performances in the Youth League, he scored 7 goals in 5 matches, including a sublime solo against PSV Eindhoven and a hat-trick in 17 minutes against Atlético Madrid. His central role in the PSG U19 team is now attracting attention and raising questions about his possibility of quickly joining Luis Enrique's group.
The rise of the striker, a native of Bamako, is meteoric. Recruited by PSG in the summer of 2023 after shining at Montrouge, he had already distinguished himself as top scorer of the season with 23 goals in 24 matches. His progress is closely accompanied by Mohamed Sissoko, ex-Liverpool and PSG player, now director of the company LSM Leading Management, who has advised him since his time at Montrouge. “Today he is performing and everything is going well”affirms Sissoko, emphasizing the importance of supervision around the young star.
Towards an adaptation under Luis Enrique
While he continues to dazzle on the pitch, an evolution in his game is being considered by PSG. The idea is to position him more on the right side of the attack, rather than as a number 9, to better adapt to the demands of Luis Enrique's system. This change could facilitate his integration into the professional group, with an increasingly tangible prospect of proving himself at the highest level. His contract ends next June, but for the moment, no discussions have taken place regarding an extension. His goal remains to progress and be ready for the next big events, such as the decisive Youth League match in Salzburg on December 10.
