“Debacle”, “big fall”… Mbappé is destroyed by the Spanish press

Since his arrival at Real Madrid last summer, the Spanish press has been rather patient with Kylian Mbappé. Particularly the Madrid press, undoubtedly keen to let 's star acclimatize to his new challenge. But the tide now seems to have turned. With Vinicius' injury, and his placement on the left supposed to favor him in regaining his offensive impact, Kylian Mbappé no longer seems to have an excuse from the Spanish media for providing poor performances.

Except that last night, on the Anfield lawn, Kylian Mbappé once again provided a performance of some sort. Very few differences, a non-existent offensive impact and above all a turning point, with a penalty obtained by Lucas Vazquez and missed against Kelleher. While Real Madrid could have equalized at that moment at 1-1, the defeat (0-2) finally took shape inexorably after this important miss.

Mbappé on the front page of all the newspapers

Enough to push the Spanish press to be critical this Thursday morning. Kylian Mbappé quite simply occupies the front page of the four major Spanish sports dailies on the newsstands. “The harsh reality” (La cruda realidad), first headlined Marca, with a photo of Mbappé hands on his head, highlighting the French striker's major failure. “Debacle” (Revolcon), headlines the Madrid daily AS, with the image of Kylian Mbappé sent to the ground in spectacular fashion by Virgil Ban Dijk. The Catalan press, obviously, is also enjoying the “big fall of Mbappé” (Trompazo) according to Mundo Deportivo while Sport highlights the Madrilenians “sunk” by this worrying defeat. The crisis is very real at Real Madrid, and even more so for Kylian Mbappé.
