3rd closed session at home of the season
While the Paul-Bernard stadium in Talence was expected to host the 8th round of the Coupe de France this Sunday between the Girondins de Bordeaux and the Herbiers, the two National 2 clubs in group B will face each other at the Stade Sainte-Germaine in Bouscat. This is a recommendation from the prefecture to secure the closed doors, indicates Sud-Ouest this Wednesday evening. The formalization will be given this Thursday. This will be the 3rd closed session at home of the season with the one against Poitiers and Bourges. This will be the 6th closed session of the season. It is therefore anything but a surprise to play this 8th round of the Coupe de France without an audience. This is the consequence of an economic choice made by the FCGB.
In the end, we must remember that the Bordeaux public will be deprived of a match, regardless of the stadium in which it is played. It has become a habit this season with the exception of National 2 matches which are played at Matmut Atlantique. The Bordeaux supporter's ordeal is far from over.
