For several years, Tuttosport organizes the election of the Golden Boy, a trophy which rewards the best player under the age of 21 playing in Europe. It starts with an initial list of 100 players, then reduced by 20 names every 20th of the month (July, August, etc.) until reaching the finalists. We are now the winner. For the 2024 edition, Paris Saint-Germain had 3 finalists: Warren Zaïre-Emery (mid 18), João Neves (mid 20) and Désiré Doué (mid/forward 19). But it was Lamine Yamal (17-year-old striker for FC Barcelona and Spain) who won.
There is no big surprise as Lamal was impressive in the previous season and overall in 2024. He is a prodigy who is establishing himself at Barça and in the selection. A player who is often pleasant to follow, even if he is unfortunately not at PSG. At only 17 years old, what he accomplished is admirable.
