Around twenty very young players carried out detection training this Wednesday morning at Haillan under the eyes of their parents. Like last week, the Girondins are continuing the detections for the football school.

A winger on trial

It is 10:30 a.m., on field number 4, Erwan Lannuzel and his assistant start a session with 16 outfield players, including Jérémy Grain. In Bruno Irlès' group on field number one, a young player, a winger with a small build, is being tested (see video at the bottom of the article). His profile is similar to a Diallo, Karim or Mutyaba but less quick. It is tested to integrate the N3 group indicates South West. So, Lannuzel will come and observe him at the end of the session.

Furthermore, coach Bruno Irlès can count on 20 outfield players this morning. Benmoussa, Ndong Bibang, Nama Fofana, Safouane Karim, and Ben Khemis are present. Note that deputy Dado Prso is absent, as is Amadou Diallo. It is the physical trainer Quentin Barat who participates in the animation of the session. For his part, Bruno Irlès, as usual, is calm, analytical and distills his instructions seriously to his group.

As for the goalkeepers, Christian Potel discovers his 4 goalkeepers: Diabaté, Lecroart, Grimaud and Mandanda. They will work together for 1 hour 20 minutes without joining the group for the oppositions. This is a first so-called discovery session where exchange and discussion have an important place between the 5 men. The goalkeepers find a specific coach for the position three weeks after the departure of Franck Chaumin.

Yambéré shortens the session

After a warm-up with the balls in 4 groups, Irlès sets up a 10 against 10 opposition on half court. The objective is to spread the play by passing to the sides and finishing with a cross. The passing circuits are bumped. In the starting team, Carroll is up front with Ben Khemis behind him, Mutyaba plays right winger, and Bahassa left winger. The intensity goes up a notch. “Well done Jeannot“, exclaims a player with a good gesture from Jean Grillot. The players encourage and support each other like Carroll who always has a positive gesture or word for a teammate.

About ten minutes before the end of the session, Cédric Yambéré stops his training and returns to the locker room. Perhaps he felt a muscular alert, and he prefers to take it easy.

The Girondins are preparing for the 8th round Coupe de match against Les Herbiers which will be played on Sunday at 5 p.m. at the Paul-Bernard stadium in . Jean Drillot, Driss Trichard and Famady Diaby are suspended.
