In this new episode of our podcast dedicated to AS Saint-Étienne, Sylvain and Clément take stock of the first part of the season for the Saint-Etienne team. For 30 minutes, we analyze the performances of the different teams from the ASSE training center, a pillar of the club's project.
A review of other ASSE teams
First, a review of the overall results. The reserve is having a complicated start to the season. Currently stuck at the bottom of the ranking, it is struggling to string together good performances. A worrying situation for a team whose role is to prepare young talents to join the professional group.
Fortunately, the U19s bring a positive note. With solid performances, they remain in the race for the playoffs, a realistic objective for this promising generation. Frédéric Dugand could achieve a second consecutive qualification. Even better, the U17s are shining this season: leaders of their group, they impress with their results but the content does not always live up to expectations.
Players who stand out at the start of the season
We also highlight some players who stood out. Meyvin Agesilas continues to show technical and mental qualities which make him a hope to follow. Nadir El Jamali, master of the midfield, is a centerpiece of the U19s. Lamine Ndiaye, thanks to his defensive impact, and Mylan Toty, solid in attack, confirm their potential for the future. They are obviously not the only ones mentioned in this episode. Others like Prud'homme, Camara, Eymard, Kies, Traore, Kasia are presented and highlighted.
An episode rich in analyzes and future prospects for the Greens. Rankings, individual analyses, projections into the future, possible professional contracts… the ideal opportunity to better understand the challenges and promises of Saint-Etienne training. To listen without moderation!
