While FC Barcelona hosts Stade Brestois this evening at the Montjuic Olympic stadium, behind the scenes, the Catalan management is still busy for the summer transfer window. Robert Lewandowski, under contract until 2026, is the great joy of Barça despite his 36 years and could even extend until 2027 according to Sport. Despite the confidence in the Pole, the Catalans would still like to recruit a number 9 and would have set their sights on Victor Gyokeres, author of 58 goals in 56 matches in 2024 in all competitions. An ingenious plan would have been thought out to attract the 26-year-old Swedish striker.
Recruited then loaned to Sporting
According to information from Sport, FC Barcelona would like to recruit Gyokeres in the summer of 2025 for a sum of around 70 million euros and then loan him to Sporting Portugal for the 2025/2026 season. The objective would be to take advantage of Robert Lewandowski as much as possible, until the end of his contract and allow Europe's top scorer to progress in Portugal. But above all to have it in its colors so as not to have it stolen by other clubs like Manchester United, in a better financial position, which is on the file. An operation which promises to be thrilling if the Swede continues to panic the goal counters.
