the Ministry of the Interior is studying a dissolution of the “ Brigade” but…

As indicated by Ouest-, the Ministry of the Interior is studying the dissolution of the “ Brigade”, the main group of supporters of FC , involved in excesses this weekend. But this beginning of “reflection” is not at all understood by a good number of interlocutors.

At the end of this Monday afternoon, our colleagues from Ouest-France mentioned in an article a possible dissolution – decided by the Ministry of the Interior – of the “Loire Brigade”, the main group of Nantes supporters, after the new incidents of the weekend at La Beaujoire during the Ligue 1 match against (2-0 defeat for FCN).

According to our information, this dissolution of the group of Nantes supporters is being studied by the Ministry of the Interior, which has had little taste of the new images of excesses during a football match. A study is currently underway and the ministry should know in the coming days whether there is a legal opportunity (or not) to propose this dissolution.

“To also attack the Loire Brigade head-on is very, very risky”

Except that this beginning of “reflection” on the Place Beauvau side is not at all understood by a good number of interlocutors, even members of the State services, in this period when the authorities are recalling the importance of individual sanctions.

All are mainly campaigning for a sanction of the 70 to 80 supporters who participated in the incidents during the last day of Ligue 1. In short, to avoid yet another collective sanction, rather reserved for the LFP. “To attack the Loire Brigade head-on is very, very risky,” confides a good connoisseur of the French stands. This desire to dissolve the “Loire Brigade” had already emerged a few years ago, before remaining a dead letter.

As a reminder, the “Loire Brigade”, a powerful group of supporters of FC Nantes, is not an association declared in the prefecture, and dissolving this “de facto group” could prove difficult for the Minister of the Interior, who recently recalled on RMC his desire to put an end to the violence in the French stands.
