Akliouche, the silence of Deschamps and a new evocative clue!

Maghnes Akliouche, attacking midfielder for AS Monaco, is increasingly fueling speculation regarding his international future. Very successful at the start of the season, notably with a double against (3-2), the 22-year-old player has however still not received a sign from French coach Didier Deschamps.

For several months now, the international future of Maghnes Akliouche has been unclear. While the French press saw him as a major reinforcement for the Blues, it would seem that “DD” I don't really have it in my plans. Questioned in the mixed zone after his last match, the Franco-Algerian confided: “No, I have never spoken with Didier Deschamps. I don't know if I'm far from the international level, but I will continue to repeat my performances to maintain this great dynamic. »
Clear words, which reflect a certain uncertainty about his place in the French team. However, Akliouche has already made an impression in the youth categories of the Blues, with successful stints with the Espoirs and the Olympic team.

However, its dual national status could reshuffle the cards. The Algerian national team, which has been courting the player for several months, sees this lack of contact as a favorable sign. Akliouche, described by those around him as an “unconditional fan of the Greens”, could succumb to the call of his roots.

Another telling clue

On social networks, Ismail Jakobs, former teammate of Akliouche at AS Monacocommented on one of his recent posts with evocative emojis, using in particular a flag of Algeria. Akliouche, without responding directly, “liked” the comment, a gesture which caused the Algerian community to react. For many supporters, this “like” is a nod to the Algerian national team and proof of its attachment to its origins. Especially since similar gestures have often been made by dual nationals, who are now definitely Algerian, like Maza and Chiakha recently or even Gouiri and Aouar in the past.

Pending an official declaration, Akliouche's choice remains uncertain, but his undeniable talent makes him a priority target for Algeria. If the Blues are slow to react, the Greens could well see the arrival of significant reinforcement for the future.
