Bordeaux plays the title and admits it half-heartedly

Bordeaux brought home a good point from its trip to Saint-Malo, the current leader of National 2, this Saturday. A performance which gives ideas to Bruno Irlès, the Girondins coach.

Third in National 2 with a match in hand over some of its competitors, the Girondins de Bordeaux are on an incredible run of nine games without defeat in all competitions. A resplendent form which allows the scapular club to play for the rise in National. Currently third in N2, Bruno Irlès' team snatched a draw on the lawn of leader Saint-Malo this Saturday. A match which gives ideas to the 49-year-old coach, who believes that his team will not be far from the leader at the end of the season if they maintain this level.

“We are frustrated, but frustrated also means happy. Because, from my point of view, we deserved better. We intend to keep this rhythm and this desire. May Saint-Malo not make too many missteps. Faced with the best in this championship, the players rose to the occasion with their weapons of the moment and came back to score.” appreciated the Girondins coach in comments relayed by Ouest France. The appetite comes with eating and in Bordeaux, by dint of stringing together good results, including against the top teams, we begin to think that everything is possible and in particular the rise or even better: the title.
