Change of equipment manufacturer in sight for OGC Nice. According to revelations from Footy Headlines, the Riviera club will end its collaboration with Le Coq Sportif at the end of the 2024-2025 season, after only two years of partnership. The Italian equipment manufacturer Kappa will take over, a first in the history of the Nice club.
This new direction, if confirmed, will mark a turning point in the marketing strategy of the GYM, which has had several equipment manufacturers over the decades. After successive stints with the Italian Macron (2016-2023), the Swiss Burrda (2011-2016), and successive collaborations with Lotto, Puma and Adidas, the club is preparing to write a new chapter in its sartorial history .
Towards a shift in Kappa from AS Monaco to OGC Nice
The return to Le Coq Sportif in 2023, which had already outfitted the club until 1982, will then have been only a short parenthesis. As the initial duration of the collaboration is not known, the separation could be linked to the economic crisis experienced by the equipment manufacturer which has just been placed in receivership. This transition to Kappa would be part of a dynamic of renewal of the image of the club, currently in full sporting ascendance.
This 2024-2025 season, Kappa is dressing the Aiglons' neighbor and rival, AS Monaco, but the contract with the principality club is coming to an end. And according to the latest indiscretions, it may not be renewed.
