OM travel to Lens this Saturday with the firm intention of returning to the Marseille city with three points. Roberto De Zerbi made some strong choices in his group of players selected to make an impression.
In Marseille, the objective this Saturday will be to show a good face to Lens but above all to take the three points. The face shown against Auxerre at the Stade Vélodrome before the international break was not really convincing and a reaction is eagerly awaited. To cause a little shock within his group, Roberto De Zerbi decided to make some strong choices in his group of selected players. Exit Lilian Brassier and welcome Bamo Meïté but especially the young Rony Mimb Baheng. The latter impressed the former Brighton manager and could well have a role to play until the end of the season.
Rony Mimb Baheng, OM firmly believes in it
In recent hours, Provence indicates in fact that Roberto De Zerbi sees in this very athletic left-back (1m88), a solid central defender for the future. His physique and excellent heading are major assets for De Zerbi. At 19, Rony Mimb Baheng will have to seize his chance with Olympique de Marseille, who have been struggling to get players out of their training center for some time. International Cameroonian hopefuls, the young crack knows the demands of the high level and OM is counting on him to rise to the occasion. It remains to be seen whether De Zerbi will give him playing time at Lens or whether he will wait a bit to do so. As a reminder, the Phocaeans are very comfortable away from their bases but have difficulty managing their home matches.
