São Paulo is reportedly considering recruiting FC Nantes midfielder Douglas Augusto this winter.
After only one year spent at FC Nantes, Douglas Augusto received an exit voucher from his managers this summer. But faced with the few clubs interested in his profile, the Brazilian remained with the Canaries where he began his second season. If he remains an indisputable starter this season in the eyes of Antoine Kombouaré, the former PAOK Salonika player could well end up leaving the club on the banks of the Erdre during the next transfer window.
Douglas Augusto returning to Brazil this winter?
And for good reason, according to the Brazilian press, São Paulo is closely monitoring the situation of the Nantes midfielder and is seriously considering recruiting him for the next season, which will begin on March 29. Initial contacts already exist between the Brazilian club and the 27-year-old player. Eager for a change of scenery this winter, Douglas Augusto would not hesitate to leave for São Paulo. A little less than six years after his departure from Bahia, he could therefore return to Brazil in the coming weeks.
