For 13 years, Luis Enrique defended the colors of Real Madrid then FC Barcelona when he was enjoying his career. Having become PSG coach in 2023, Enrique has taken the reins of Barça's two professional teams in the past. Could he sign a historic coup by going to Real Madrid? He emptied his bag.

Luis Enrique has already traveled well since his coaching debut. Having taken his first steps with the reserve of FC Barcelona when Pep Guardiola officiated with the first team, the Spanish technician cut his teeth at the Romaau Celta Vigoau Barça and with the Spanish selection before dropping off his bags at the PSG in the summer of 2023.

Luis Enrique knew Real Madrid and Barcelona

While there is talk of a possible extension for two additional seasons of his contract running until next June, Luis Enrique has a history with the FC Barcelona and the Real Madrid. During his playing career, the ex-midfielder spent five seasons at White House before moving directly to Barcelona where he ended his career after eight Blaugrana years in 2004.

Luis Enrique could he become the first person to have played and sat on the benches of the two historic enemies of Spanish football? The coach of PSG signed an ironic release on this subject for TV3. “I don't think there is anyone in history who has been both a player for Barça and Real Madrid and a coach for Barça and Real Madrid, so I can break a record (laughs). But I won’t.”
