Enrique delivers his verdict for Milan Skriniar

Very little used this season by Luis Enrique, Milan Skriniar would have given his agreement to Juventus Turin with a view to a transfer this winter. The PSG coach spoke about the situation of his Slovak central defender.

PSG Mercato: Milan Skriniar still in Luis Enrique’s plans?

Milan Skriniar, who arrived freely from Inter Milan in July 2023, is struggling to establish himself in the defense of Saint-Germain. His lack of playing time and convincing performances from Marquinhos and Willian Pacho fueled rumors of an imminent departure. According to the Italian press, the 29-year-old defender has already reached an agreement with Juventus Turin, seduced by the prospect of returning to the Italian championship, where he shone under the colors of Inter.

However, Luis Enrique, when questioned on the subject, suggested a possibility of relaunching his player in the second part of the season. “It’s a normal process in a team. When you play, you are happy, when you play less, you are less happy,” Luis Enrique explains to journalists before indicating that the Slovak international can change his situation if he wishes.

“When you don't play at all, you're not happy at all. If I see things in training, the situation can change,” added the Spanish technician. These ambiguous statements cast doubt on the future of Milan Skriniar at PSG. The Parisian club, which wishes to strengthen its defensive sector, could be tempted to part ways with the Slovak international in order to free up funds for new recruits.

And with the expected returns of Lucas Hernandez and Presnel Kimpembe, Skriniar's playing time could completely disappear in the coming weeks. The competition therefore promises to be very tough in central defense and the Slovak will have to be convincing to win at Paris Saint-Germain. It now remains to be seen what the main person concerned will decide during the winter transfer window. To be continued…
