OL: the boss of the DNCG breaks the silence and responds to his pro-PSG links

Jean-Marc Mickeler, the boss of the DNCG, responded to John Textor and those who see a plot against OL.

Target of criticism from John Textor after the precautionary demotion of OL to Ligue 2, Jean-Marc Mickeler, the president of the DNCG, spoke in L'Equipe to justify this decision with serious consequences contested by the American.

“The DNCG listened perfectly, heard and understood what Textor explained to it. He is convinced that once he has listed Eagle Group in the United States and sold Crystal Palace and a certain number of players, the combination of one or more of these elements will enable him to substantially improve the OL situation. But the role of the DNCG is to be skeptical of any operation that has not yet been carried out,” recalls the financial policeman of French , who assures that he does not wish any harm to but also expects concrete.

Mickeler expected “bank guarantees” from Textor

“The DNCG only wants one thing, and that is for John Textor to carry out these important operations and for us to be able to not confirm this demotion at the next hearing. We have been talking with him for many months. These operations were postponed and were not pre-financed in risk as we request for other clubs. The DNCG requires bank guarantees or cash to cover part of these risks (…) Other clubs do it. There is no exceptional decision for OL. We asked him, like others, to pre-finance what we consider to be risks of budgetary non-execution (…) This downgrading as a precautionary measure is a warning, nothing more, nothing less.”

He responds about his daughter, a PSG employee

As for the main criticism made on the side of OL of a conflict of interest due to the presence of his daughter as an employee of PSG, Jean-Marc Mickeler is very clear: “Like all the members of the DNCG, I am subject to the strictest rules of independence, to which I scrupulously comply. At no time did I interfere, directly or indirectly, in his recruitment. These insinuations seek to create controversy where none exists. They attack a young woman selected on her merits after a demanding process, question my integrity, and attempt to discredit the DNCG, an institution which works with impartiality and rigor in the service of the financial regulation of French football. »
