Hungry for sport, he grew up to the sound of Formula 1 engines and the exploits of Ronaldinho. Today, with a Master's degree in sports journalism, he no longer misses an Grand Prix or a PSG match, his two passions and specialties.

Last summer, PSG only recruited four new players and two of them established themselves as indisputable starters. This is the case of Joao Neves and Willian Pacho. The central defender landed for €40m from Eintracht Frankfurt and has impressed since his debut in . To the point of having relegated Milan Skriniar to the bench.

During the previous summer transfer window, PSG was not particularly active by only recruiting four players, but two of them nevertheless established themselves as indisputable starters, namely João Neveswho landed from Benfica for €60M, but also Willian Pachorecruited for €40M. The Ecuadorian defender arrived fromEintracht Francfort and presents itself as the pleasant surprise of this start of the season.

Skriniar victim of the arrival of Pacho?

And of course, the arrival of Willian Pacho upset the balance within the PSG. And for good reason, the Ecuadorian is the player most used by Luis Enrique with a total of 1197 minutes played since the start of the season. A status which resulted in seeing Milan Skriniar being relegated to the background when he was one of the players with the most playing time at the same time last season. The former defender of PSG José-Karl Pierre Fanfan analyzes this situation and confirms that according to him, the signature of Willian Pacho changed everything.

“The arrival of Pacho changed everything”

« It is truly downgraded. We gave him time last season, but his average performances and the arrival of Pacho changed everything. That doesn't mean he's a bad defender but he doesn't fit Luis Enrique's philosophy. It's up to the players to adapt and if they don't have the required qualities, it's up to them to work but we feel that for him, it will always be complicated. He came to PSG to take a step forward and in the end, he didn't bring much confidence, we have the feeling that he went backwards », he estimates in comments given to Parisian.
