the many tracks of Luis Campos in Portugal

Nuno Mendes, Manuel Ugarte, Gonçalo Ramos, Joao Neves… Since the arrival of Luis Campos in the role of sports advisor to Saint-Germain, the arrivals of players from Portugal have increased, with varying degrees of success.

For the next winter transfer window, the capital club is not going to abandon this destination and is sniffing out many avenues, whether in defense, in attack, or even at the goalkeeper position. PSG Inside Actus takes stock of all these issues, which could accelerate in the coming weeks.

Two tracks at Benfica, too expensive?

First of all with the Benfica club, PSG would be interested in its two starting central defenders, Antonio Silva and Tomas Araujo. These two young defenders were already in the sights of the capital club last summer and continue to be this winter.

However, the two Portuguese are executives in their club, which absolutely wants to keep them and will be very greedy. PSG should favor less expensive avenues in defense, knowing that Marquinhos and Willian Pacho are performing well this season and that the return of Lucas Hernandez is close.

PSG wants to plunder Sporting Portugal

In the section of central defenders and especially cheaper than those of Benfica, there are those of Sporting Portugal, Gonçalo Inacio and Ousmane Diomandé. The first is valued at 45 million euros by Transfermarkt and the Portuguese club would be open to a sale. PSG have been in contact with the player, who is said to be available for around 50 million euros, for two years.

Concerning Ousmane Diomandé, an offer of 30 million euros was mentioned in recent weeks in Paris. An honest amount for a 20-year-old player, very promising and also interested in the Parisian project, according to PSG Inside Actus.

The dossiers Quenda et Gyökeres

Still at Sporting Portugal but no longer in central defense, two names are regularly associated with PSG: Geovany Quenda and Vikor Gyökeres. For the promising 17-year-old right piston and the 26-year-old Swedish striker, it looks complicated for Paris in terms of competition.

These two stars have caught the eye of the biggest European clubs and both have a release clause of 100 million euros this winter. They should therefore not leave their club in January, but PSG could take action next summer especially in the Gyökeres file, which will be available at 70 million euros.

A goalkeeper also targeted?

PSG is also prospecting at FC Porto. In its desire to recruit a number 9, the capital club would be very interested in the profile of Samu Omorodion, who joined the Portuguese club this summer for 15 million euros.

The French team sees great potential in this 20-year-old striker and would be ready to pay a large sum of money to afford him. But perhaps we should think about it this summer, before he arrives in Porto with a contract until June 2029 and sees his market value explode with his very good start to the season.

Still in Porto, PSG would have Diogo Costa in their sights. The 25-year-old Portuguese goalkeeper is in great form, while doubts exist around Gianluigi Donnarumma. Note that a potential deal to sign the Portuguese international will only be possible next summer…

Passionate about sport and from , I am of course a supporter of the great TFC, which has more titles than OM and OL combined over the last ten years.
