A player announced at PSG, Riolo gives his judgment

Recently, Christophe Nkunku, 27-year-old attacking midfielder/striker for Chelsea and the French team, was announced as a possible recruit for Saint-Germain in the winter transfer window. At the microphone of RMC Sport, journalist Daniel Riolo gave his opinion on this possible return of the Parisian Titi who left in 2019.

Riolo « It's a profile that we don't have many people in our football. »

“It’s a profile that we don’t have many people in our football. The guy is capable of keeping the balls, of playing in this false 9 role, but if you play him on one side, he can also perform well. He's a good football player.

He went to a 75-player club there. I remember that he left PSG also because there were a lot of very, very good players. Maybe PSG will get him back. He has a very interesting technique. »

It's a strange moment when Riolo is positive about a PSG pick, but it's nice. Especially since there is indeed a lot of sense in this recruitment. Nkunku could possibly adapt very well to the philosophy of coach Luis Enrique.

Able to play as a relay player (offensive), in false 9 or on the side, he has what he can bring to Paris with his technical quality, his efforts and his ability to be decisive. Despite everything, he is stuck at Chelsea, with a very busy squad and the manager's choices.

Little used in the Premier League, Nkunku still shone enough in the cup and Conference League to be in the French team during this November break and rather good against Italy.

There may still be reservations, between an unclear price and injuries in recent years. But there is at least something to learn about while the Parisian squad is far from being overloaded with players who make the difference in the Champions League. There is also the heart that can speak for this Titi who left when he was blocked in terms of playing time. Perhaps there is still a beautiful story to write.
