Malick Seck: “After the Girondins, I didn’t have any success. Maybe I wasn’t mentally ready either”

On 7, the Girondins de striker, Malick Seckreturned to his football career, he who was in last year.

“I was trained at the Girondins de Bordeaux. I arrived in 2004 and I had the chance to do my training until 2010. Afterwards, I had no success. Maybe I wasn't mentally ready either, because I was coming from Senegal. I knew Lège-Cap Ferret who was playing in DHR at the time. I was lucky enough to make the climb to CFA2. Then, I played at Lormont in DH. arrived, and I had a lot of fun there, same thing for Sedan. I returned to Stade Bordelais where I had two really good seasons: we made the climb. There was a less good year with a decline, due to Covid. Then, there was a final year at Stade Bordelais where we made a comeback. I've traveled quite a bit, but all the experience I have today, I try to pass it on to the group, whether it's N2, but more for N3″

The Bordeaux center forward rightly mentioned his contribution.

“It’s part of everyday life. Everything is fine when you're at the top. When you go down to DHR, DH, it's complicated, and that's where you really have to be mentally strong. Today, when things are not going well, I think back to all these moments I went through, which means that I am still here. Thanks to work too, and that means that mentally I am ready”
