Gifted, a nugget in search of brilliance at PSG

Arriving this summer at Paris Saint-Germain from Rennes for 50 million euros, Désiré Doué is struggling to establish himself in the capital.

At 19, the young versatile midfielder has only made three starts in Ligue 1 out of eight appearances. A timid start which contrasts with the expectations placed on him.

Despite the promises made by Luis Enrique during their first exchange, in particular that of offering him playing time in various positions, Doué seems to be a victim of this versatility. Deployed inconsistently on the pitch, he is struggling to find his feet and has not yet convinced the Spanish coach to give him a major role. However, within PSG, serenity remains. Luis Enrique remains convinced of the potential of Doué, considered a future great. The capital club firmly believes that one click will be enough to unleash the talent of its nugget, whose time could soon come.
