Luis Campos did well to wait for Osimhen

Last summer, with the departure of Kylian Mbappé, Saint-Germain wanted at all costs to be able to strengthen themselves on the transfer market by recruiting a new top striker. Among the very serious tracks that agitated the summer of the French champions, we found the one leading to Victor Osimhen, the Naples scorer. Problem, its president Aurelio de Laurentiis was particularly greedy by demanding to pay the release clause then estimated at 130 million euros. A request refused by the Parisians as well as by all the other teams in Europe, Osimhen finally finding himself on loan to Galatasaray.

A 75 million clause?

But obviously, this clause will no longer be the same in the summer of 2025, as revealed La Gazzetta dello Sport in today's edition. Indeed, the Italian daily affirms that in a few months, it will now be necessary to pay “only” 75 million euros to secure its services. A price almost halved and which is much more within the ropes of Paris Saint-Germain and its sporting director Luis Campos. However, the Parisians will not be the only ones to want to seize this opportunity, Chelsea have been on the hunt for many months while other competitors risk quickly declaring themselves. In the meantime, Galatasaray hopes to be able to do everything to keep it, but the financial power of the Turks risks being limited.
