Jean-Michel Roussier slips a tackle to John Textor (OL)

Olympique Lyonnais is not the only Ligue 1 club to have been sanctioned by the DNCG. AC has in fact suffered from a control of its payroll and a ban on recruiting for payment. A sanction nevertheless lighter than for OL, and which was expected due to the big drop in rights allocations.

Even if the financial situation of the HAC is worrying, it is not as critical as that. In an interview with L'Equipe, president Jean-Michel Roussier wanted to reassure Le Havre supporters by indicating that Didier Digard's squad (if he is still in office) would not be weakened despite a few departures during the next transfer window.

The leader of Le Havre, at the same time, took a swipe at clubs living well beyond their means, targeting John Textor's Olympique Lyonnais without mentioning it.

“We will have to sell in January, that is very certain. Will the team weaken? No. We will find solutions as we have done until now. From the start, we have known that it will be tight. And we managed the squad according to our means. We didn't go up in flames, unlike others (…) But if we sell other players, we haven't given up on staying in Ligue 1 this year. season. It's very clear.” said Roussier.

A barely disguised tackle…
