The Norwegian cyborg hit very hard with a shattering hat-trick against Kazakhstan (5-0). On two assists from Nusa, Haaland had already scored twice at the break. The Manchester City striker scored a third goal twenty minutes from time. Norway thus finished ahead of Austria in its group.

Another card of the evening, England, who gave Ireland no chance (5-0) in a derby which allowed the Three Lions to remain at the top of their group ahead of Greece. At Wembley, for the last of Lee Carsley, of Irish nationality, before Thomas Tuchel took charge, the English were a hit with goals from Kane, Gordon, Gallagher, Bowen and Harwood-Bellis, all in the second half.
