Mercato: Gyokeres speaks out and warns PSG – Transfers

Announced on the PSG shelves, with discussions initiated between Luis Campos and his entourage, the Swedish striker from Sporting Portugal, Viktor Gyökereshas taken a clear position regarding the next winter transfer window. “I want to finish this season at Sporting. I love being here” he said in comments relayed by journalist Fabrizio Romano, after Sweden's victory against Slovakia (2-1), where he distinguished himself by scoring in the 3rd minute.

This goal confirmed Gyökeres' excellent form, which is attracting more and more attention from major European clubs. With a release clause set at 100 million euros, which can be activated next summer, the 26-year-old could be a prime target for PSG. But, for the moment, the Swedish striker does not seem ready to leave Lisbon in January. He also spoke about his future with caution: “A departure at the end of the season? We'll see when the time comes. I want to play, it's essential for me. There will also be other factors.”

This statement suggests that the player could be difficult to convince for a rushed transfer this winter, preferring to focus on his progress with Sporting until the end of the season. PSG, in search of offensive reinforcements, will therefore undoubtedly have to wait, even if the Gyökeres track remains relevant for the next summer transfer window. One thing is certain: the Swede keeps all options open for the rest of his career, and PSG will have to monitor this matter closely in the months to come.
