Point on loan: Tiago Morais (LOSC) finds playing time and his former coach in Portugal

Loaned by LOSC to Rio Ave FC this summer, Tiago Morais found what he had lost in the North: rhythm. Coincidence of fate, he is now led by his former coach at Boavista.

A few weeks ago, at the end of July, LOSC announced the departure of Tiago Morais (21) in the form of a loan with an option to buy from Rio Ave FC. Since then, he has garnered more playing time than he ever had in the North, accumulating 528 minutes in 10 games played in Portugal. He only appeared four times (62 minutes) in , during the ends of matches. This playing time, which allowed him to regain a rhythm that he had lost, unfortunately did not allow him to be decisive. The Portuguese had also taken his first steps as a piston, before switching back to the wing in a more offensive position.

“It is not exceptional, but it is interesting and shows beautiful things. It is clearly the player who can unlock situations. In the role of piston, it was really bad though”Alexandre Carvalho, specialist in Portuguese football and creator of Golaço .

In recent weeks, Tiago Morais has been surprised by two twists of fate. Rio Ave FC recently formalized the arrival of Petit, former coach of Boavista (2021-24), a club that the Portuguese left to join LOSC last winter. He also found the latter on Friday during the eleventh day of Liga Portugal. Established on the right flank, he had fully contributed to the success of his team on his former team. Rio Ave FC is currently tenth in the championship, with twelve points on the clock.
