On Sud Radio, the former Girondins de Bordeaux playmaker,
Alain Giressespoke about the non-arrival of
Kylian Mbappé in the French team.

“There are always elements within a team that we do not have, which exist, I can attest to that. Internal elements which mean that, particularly in this case… We can always interpret from right to left… There are some who will say that Deschamps is taking control, etc… But we don't know. What is certain is that he is not there, but it is not a definitive end. There is a reality: on a sporting level, Kylian Mbappé is in trouble. It's difficult to position yourself firstly by the position he occupies since it's not where he is most comfortable, and then to find reference points and playing relationships with his partners at Real Madrid. We see that he is uncomfortable, and that he is not as easy as he was. It must still be running through his head because time will pass, and we will start to get impatient on Real's side regarding his performances. For the French team, it is not dramatic for Nations League matches. Afterwards, we can always say that he is the captain and that he must be present.
