After trying different sports, Thibault turned to a career as an amateur footballer. When making a choice between becoming a professional footballer and a journalist, the qualities tipped the scales to one side. Here he is now in the editorial team of 10 Sport, after a diploma obtained at the International Institute of Communication in Paris.
After only 11 days and while OM are 3rd in the French championship, Roberto De Zerbi has indicated that he is ready to pack his bags. Indeed, following the defeat against AJ Auxerre, the Olympian coach mentioned the possibility of slamming the door. If OM does not, however, intend to part ways with De Zerbi, Jean-Michel Larqué believes that the latter could indeed pack his bags on his own.
Last Friday, theABOUT lost heavily at home againstALSO Auxerre (1-3). Against the promoted team, the Marseille club delivered a very sad performance and Roberto De Zerbi clearly did not appreciate what he saw from his players. Relieved after this meeting, the coach of theABOUT went so far as to speak of a possible departure: “ You know, I spoke about it with Mehdi Benatia, I also spoke about it with Pablo Longoria. I come from the street, I tell it like it is. And if the problem is me, well I'm ready to leave. I give up my contract, I leave without the money, I don't care. No problem. I don't want to make excuses or talk nonsense. I am here to tell the truth. That's all I know how to do ».
“He’s the one who takes the suitcases and leaves”
For now, Roberto DeZerbi therefore remains the coach of theABOUT. But in a few games, that could change. Indeed, if the defeats accumulate in the coming weeks, the Italian could put his threats into action and pack his bags. In any case, this is what is estimated Jean-Michel Larque as he explained on the microphone of RMC : « If De Zerbi over the next 4 matches, he loses 3 and wins 1, is he out? It's not him who gets kicked out, it's him who takes the suitcases and leaves ».
“He’s the man for the job”
A departure from Roberto DeZerbi is however not current, at least not in the mind of theABOUT. Indeed, the Marseille club has confidence in its Italian coach and Mehdi Benatiasports advisor to Marseillemade it clear this Tuesday during his appearance at the microphone of the show Rothen ignites : « For us, there is no discussion, he is the man for the job. He's a golden guy ».
