Towards departures this winter to rebalance Real Madrid's finances
The leaders of the Real Madrid are considering major adjustments to their squad this winter, according to information from Relief. Real Madrid faces financial challenges linked to renovations to the Santiago Bernabéu stadium. The Spanish club could release certain players to reduce its wage bill and generate additional income. This approach would make it possible to compensate for the losses associated with the soundproofing problems encountered during the modernization of their legendary enclosure.
Objective: Four players leaving
To achieve this financial objective, Real Madrid would have targeted four players from its squad: Ferland Mendy, Aurélien Tchouaméni, Dani Ceballos and Brahim Diaz. This decision is not limited to a simple question of sporting performance. It is part of a logic of strict budgetary management.
Ferland Mendy: An uncertain start
Ferland Mendya 29-year-old left side, represents one of the most complex cases. Although he has appeared in 14 games this season, his contract expires next June. This could complicate negotiations. The club must decide between a short-term extension to promote his departure or a transfer this winter. However, this last option seems difficult to realize.
Aurélien Tchouaméni: A high market value
Aurélien Tchouaménia 24-year-old midfielder, presents attractive potential on the market. With 15 appearances this season, the French player maintains a high rating in Europe. Linked to Real Madrid until June 2028, Tchouaméni could allow the club to recover a significant sum.
Dani Ceballos: An ambiguous situation
Dani Ceballosaged 28, could also be released this winter. With only six appearances this season, Ceballos has failed to consistently establish himself in the plans of Carlo Ancelotti. Although he is under contract until 2027, a transfer would allow the club to reduce their salary costs.
Brahim Diaz: The young talent in search of continuity
Finally, Brahim Diaz25-year-old striker, could also pack his bags. After 9 appearances and 1 goal this season, Diaz has shown promising offensive abilities. However, he failed to establish himself as an indisputable starter. Competition is tough within the Madrid attack, and Diaz could look for a club where he would benefit from the continuity essential to his development. Being also under contract until 2027, his departure could be beneficial for both the player and the club.
