Davide wants to bet on Cantera, his father hesitates

Real Madrid, decimated by injuries in the defensive sector, can find solutions within the Fabrica. An option that is to the taste of Davide Ancelotti, much less of Carlo.

Asencio is perhaps the first in a list of club-trained players thrown into the deep end. An initiative certainly forced by the numerous injuries in defense (Alaba, Militao, Vazquez, Carvajal) but also because Davide Ancelotti, son of Carlo and assistant coach of Real Madrid, is campaigning to give the opportunity to several Cantera players to show in the first team. Against Osasuna, Raúl Asencio put in an interesting performance defensively and also delivered a nice assist on Jude Bellingham's goal.

Indeed, as Marca notes, Davide Ancelotti has insisted for several weeks on the fact that several players trained at the club could help the club in the critical situation that Real Madrid is going through. A bet which constantly came up against the reluctance and sporting policy of his father, Carlo Ancelotti, who prefers to respect a form of hierarchy, evidenced by his choice to put Lucas Vazquez in place of Dani Carvajal rather than giving a chance to the promising young right-back Jesus Fortea (17 years old). “We need them” declares Davide for his part. Jacobo Ramón (19), central defender, on the other hand, should be back within three weeks and could have a chance to get some playing time.

Following Asencio's good performance, a new name came out of Davide's box, in the person of Lorenzo Aguado (22 years old), right back who plays with Castilla (6 matches in Primera and 1 goal) who should come compensate for the absence of Lucas Vazquez in the Merengue group. Jesus Fortea, called up with the U19s of the Spain team, which we spoke about previously, could also have the opportunity to join the squad of the first team.

But Davide Ancelotti currently prefers the profile of Aguado who is more disciplined in defense, more physically powerful and more experienced to join the great Real Madrid. In addition, he is a versatile player who can also play as a central defender, a role he plays under Raúl González with Castilla.

And one Aguado can hide another. Indeed, another name that is making waves within Fabrica is Diego Aguado (17), also a Spanish U19 international. He is one of the pillars of the central defense of the team managed by Álvaro Arbeloa in Juvenil A. The young central defender left very good impressions when he trained with the Real Madrid first team. Like Joan Martínez, Diego showed that he could at least not do well in the deep end of Real Madrid. Two jewels of the 2007 generation around which there are great expectations for the future.

At the right-back position, for the moment, Carlo Ancelotti could opt for the Fede Valverde solution, Real Madrid's handyman, who has already shown that he can help out relatively well in this role. As for the central defender position, it is possible that Carletto moves Aurélien Tchouaméni back into this position as he has already done on numerous occasions when the situation requires it. But the French international is currently injured, which will push the Italian coach to innovate again.

Furthermore, in midfield, two names stand out from the rest in Davide's list: Chema Andrés (19 years old), a physically imposing player (1m 90), comfortable in distributing the game, who has already appeared in the Madrid group this season, and Izan Regueira (18 years old), player who plays a pivotal role within Juvenil A d'Arbeloa and who produced a solid performance against AC Milan in the Youth League (victory 2-1), a match scrupulously observed by Davide during which Jesus Fortea scored a goal from a penalty.
