Laurent Brun: “We feel that the rocket has launched”

For Bordeaux Le Mag, the journalist Laurent Brun found that the deficit of the Girondins de Bordeaux, particularly at the physical level, had been made up, as evidenced by the attitude of the players against Saint-Pryvé Saint-Hilaire (2-0).

“This is the first time since the start of the season that I have seen the Girondins at this constant physical level. I didn't see the Blois match obviously, it wasn't great given the playing conditions, but yes, I found it to be very regular. From the start of the match until the end, the Bordeaux team maintained the same pace. Changes have brought too. I found that there was real progress at this level. There, we feel that the rocket has launched. Afterwards, there can be failures, that's how it is, but I found that it was constant. It’s the first time I’ve felt it since the start of the season, and I won’t hide from you that it made me happy.”

We will have to manage this physical part with the three matches coming up, especially since Bordeaux is deprived of Cédric Yambéré and Travis Mutyaba, both in the selection.

“There, the first team group took shape, but until three weeks ago, players from the two teams could be swapped. We can talk about Malick Seck, Noah Ramon, they will perhaps be able to join the first team again. Safouane Karim too… Even if the reserve team does not have very good results, certain players will now be able to integrate more easily into the first team collective. There is a challenge for them too, that of saying to themselves that they were in the group at the start of the season, so it is up to them to do the work necessary to get back there.”
