Gabriel Moscardo, makes a promise to PSG

Recruited by PSG in Brazil for 20 million euros, Gabriel Moscardo was loaned to Stade de this season. But the young 19-year-old midfielder has not yet played a single match in Champagne.

Gabriel Moscardo is a player on whom Saint-Germain has a lot of long-term hopes. The proof is that the capital club did not hesitate to pay 20 million euros to recruit him from Corinthians, before loaning him to the Brazilian club last year then to Stade de Reims for the 2024-2025 season. The Brazilian international hopeful is described as a very technical defensive midfielder, whose profile has everything to please Luis Enrique. But the Spanish coach of PSG undoubtedly observes with great disappointment the loan of his player to Stade de Reims, where he has not yet played since the start of the season.

Difficult adaptation for Gabriel Moscardo in Reims

A disappointment that Reims coach Luka Elsner can understand, who justified the non-existent playing time of Gabriel Moscardo in the columns of The Union. Confident at first that the player had been injured, the Reims coach reassured PSG about the use of the Brazilian midfielder for the weeks to come. “He is in competition. He was penalized by an injury very early on without having done any real preparation, and there is also an aspect of adaptation to Ligue 1 and the intensity of the duels” first explained the former coach, before continuing on a note of optimism.

“Even if he hasn't appeared yet, he represents a resource for the club today. He is evolving, and we hope to quickly be able to put him in a position to show the full extent of his talent. The time will come and I'm pretty confident about that.” assured Luka Elsner, convinced that Gabriel Moscardo will gain strength and that the Brazilian midfielder from Paris Saint-Germain will benefit from more playing time in the weeks and months to come. Luis Campos and Luis Enrique also hope so, in order to see what the player has in his stomach to be sure of his future at PSG.
