The two young PSG attackers who are shining in the Youth League, Ibrahim Mbaye (photo) and Mahamadou Sangaré, are seriously approaching a professional contract with PSG according to the latest reports.
PSG bounced back well in the Youth League in the middle of the week, winning against Atlético Madrid (4-2), and two attackers in particular burst the screen: center forward Mahamadou Sangaré (three goals) and Right winger Ibrahim Mbaye (two assists). The latter has been a regular in the professional group since last summer, Luis Enrique having decided to keep him after testing him and he has even already played in L1 despite his very young age, with a start at Le Havre on the first day (4-1).
Under aspiring contract until June 2026, the Parisian winger born in January 2008 is highly coveted and, as we noted, the Red Bull group was still there in the stands of the PSG Campus this Wednesday to observe him. But on the PSG side, we absolutely have no intention of letting Ibrahim Mbaye leave and RMC reveals this Sunday that a contract extension, which would therefore be a first professional contract, is on track for him. The duration is not yet known, although probably at least three years, but the news should delight Luis Enrique who appreciates it enormously.
PSG wants to extend Sangaré
The other member of the duo, Mahamadou Sangaré, has not yet joined the professional squad despite his goalscoring talents and the No. 9 is doing everything it takes to get there since he has a string of goals, and not only in the U19 national championship like last year. He is now also performing well in the Youth League (4 goals in 4 matches) and sporting director Luis Campos is monitoring him closely as we learned recently.
And PSG is also thinking of contractually locking the 17-year-old striker according to information from Bruno Salomon of France Bleu Paris. Like Mbaye, he is closely watched by German clubs but the young Malian wants to make a long-term commitment with PSG. Arriving from Montrouge a year and a few ago after being the top scorer in the U17 national championship, he is under contract until June 2025 only.
