Olivier Létang found Jonathan David's replacement in Belgium

Jonathan David is undoubtedly one of the best players in LOSC and Ligue 1 this season. With thirteen goals and two assists in 18 matches played in all competitions, the Canadian has been treading water in the championship and in the Champions League for several months.

Scorer five times in the last four matches, it goes without saying that the 24-year-old striker is ready to do it again against OGC this Sunday away. However, Jonathan David's adventure with the Mastiffs could well end very soon.

Kévin Denkey tracked by LOSC

If still wishes to extend him while his contract ends next summer, Olivier Létang is also ready to sell Jonathan David off this winter if he does not extend. However, if he leaves the ship, a new number 9 will have to take over the reins. A problem that has already been identified by the president of Lille who has targeted the Canadian's replacement.

At least that's what Sacha Tavolieri reveals, revealing that LOSC has started discussions with Cercle Bruges to secure the services of Kévin Denkey this winter. The 23-year-old Togolese is valued at 14 million euros but the club reportedly asked for 26 million euros last summer when Premier League clubs wanted him.

A serial scorer trained in Nîmes

Kévin Denkey was a hit last season in Belgium with a record of 28 goals and two assists in 39 matches. And he seems to be on the same standards this season with eleven goals and six assists in just 23 games. It remains to be seen whether the negotiations will be simpler than last summer with the club owned by AS Monaco and which does not seem ready to make concessions for its nugget.

Before joining Bruges, Kévin Denkey was trained in , at Nîmes Olympique, which he left in 2021 for a check for 2 million euros. He already has great international experience with nearly 24 caps with the Togolese selection for eight goals.

Supporter of En Avant de Guingamp, the best of the Breton clubs, I prefer to meet Yannis Salibur, Cristophe Kerbrat or Jeremy Sorbon rather than Cristiano Ronaldo, Lionel Messi or Sergio Ramos.
