The LFP disciplinary committee decided not to sanction OM after examining the chants heard during the Classic against PSG. Deemed too imprecise, the referral to the National Ethics Council did not make it possible to confirm the exact origin of the songs, while the preventive actions carried out by the club also worked in its favor.
The disciplinary committee of the Professional Football League (LFP) ruled this Wednesday on the controversial chants heard during the Classic OM-PSG (0-3) from October 27 at the VĂ©lodrome, but without imposing any sanctions on the Marseille club. Indeed, no official report has confirmed the presence of homophobic chants, and the referral to the National Ethics Council (CNE) was deemed too imprecise to lead to a sanction.

The commission explained that the songs recorded were difficult to locate and of very short duration, making their origin difficult to determine. In addition, the numerous awareness-raising actions carried out by OM in terms of prevention contributed to the decision not to sanction the club.
Following the OM PSG match at the velodrome, the Stop Homophobia association, in collaboration with the Collectif Rouge Direct, filed a complaint with the Paris public prosecutor and the Audiovisual and Digital Communication Regulatory Authority ( ARCOM), accusing DAZN and the LFP of insults and incitement to homophobic hatred.
