Former OM midfielder Samir Nasri expressed his wish to see two players in great form join the France team for the next gathering. According to him, these talents deserve a call-up due to their exceptional performances at club since the start of the season.
This Thursday afternoon, Didier Deschamps will announce the list of 23 players selected for the last gathering of the France team in 2024. The Blues will then meet at Clairefontaine on Monday to prepare for their last two Nations League matches: against Israel at the Stade de France, the November 14, and against Italy at San Siro on November 17. As the announcement approaches, Samir Nasri expressed his opinion on the players who deserve to join the Blues group.
On the Canal+ set after the matches Lille – Juventus et Bologna – Monaco in the Champions League, the former French international suggested that two young talents should be included in Didier Deschamps' list: “For me, there are two players who absolutely must be called: Lucas Chevalier and Maghnes Akliouche.”
The LOSC goalkeeper and the Monaco winger have shone since the start of the season with their respective clubs. Their exceptional form at club leaves no doubt: a call-up to the French team now seems to be a matter of time. This selection could well materialize in the days to come, during the next Nations League meetings.
