“We are united from start to finish” says Aïssa Mandi after LOSC – Juventus FC

Experienced member of the LOSC locker room, Aïssa Mandi insisted at length on the value of the collective this Tuesday, following the draw (1-1) recorded against Juventus.

In the absence of Tiago Santos and Thomas Meunier, it was Aïssa Mandi who was placed on the right flank of the four-man defense aligned by Bruno Genesio this Tuesday. Author of a convincing performance, like the entire squad, the Algerian international was satisfied with the result achieved. It was a draw (1-1) following the achievements of Jonathan David (27′) and Dusan Vlahovic (58′): “I think it’s a fair result, each team had a stronger half. We started the match well, we took the advantage, but then we made ourselves look like little without really giving ourselves too many clear chances. We were solid defensively, but they managed to convert the penalty. The draw is a fair result given the context of the match”he judged at the final whistle.

This additional unit, the seventh, was snatched away by the Mastiffs who were sticking their tongues out in the second period. Aware that fatigue is accumulating, Aïssa Mandi praised the merits of the Lille collective: “We give everything we have, that’s how we are, the spirit we have in the team. We are all in this together, no matter who is on the pitch, no matter who is on the bench or who is absent. We are united, from start to finish.
We will have to be there throughout the season if we want to achieve things. We are a team, we are united and I hope that continues until the end of the season”
he was already projecting himself in comments given to the site of
l'UEFA.

Entered in the Champions League following its successes during the preliminary rounds, LOSC collected seven points in four days of competition. For Aïssa Mandi, this is a more than correct assessment: “It's a good total considering we faced Sporting CP away, Real Madrid, Atlético and Juventus, but we can't stop there. I think we've proven that we don't want to see our path end so soon. We have ambition in this competition. We have four games left to qualify.”he concluded, determined to continue this march forward.
