Doctor, physiotherapist, video analyst, steward, goalkeeper trainer… Part of the N2 staff to be reconstituted

In parallel with the 82 people leaving the club as part of the social plan in November, there are also the coaches of the training center who were notably on fixed-term contracts, who will not continue at the Girondins de Bordeaux.

Among them, well-known names from recent years such as the 1999 French Champion Romain Ferrierwho had an expanded role last season. We also think of
Sylvain Blaquartson of Bernard, who has been in charge of several teams at the training center for several seasons. Jimmy Briandwho was in charge of the U18 Regionals at the start of the season, is also not retained.
Laurent Friconnetphysical trainer for a few years now, neither, just like the goalkeeper coach of the training center – who also took care of the N2 since the start of the season – Franck Chaumin. According to Sud Ouest, only Rio Mavuba could stay, but he will have to be requalified since he has the title of pre-training manager.

A staff to be reconstituted for the N2

With all these changes, there is a whole reconstitution of staff that will take place. So, for example, to replace
Franck Chauminwe will need a new goalkeeper coach, to prevent them from overheating on their own. Recruitment is underway according to Sud Ouest.

Other positions related to the first team will have to be clarified. Thus, concerning the doctor and the physiotherapist, negotiations are underway for “for a continuation in vacation”. Concerning the video analyst, obviously there would be an internal solution and a possibility of freelance work. Finally, regarding the steward, “three volunteers in collaboration” should take on these functions.
