Dundee coach gives news of Julien Vétro, taken to hospital just before his match

Julien Vétrotrained at Girondins de , was one of those who left FCGB this summer. Loaned to Dundee this season by Burnley, he had played one match so far with his new club. Last night we learned that there had been a problem with him, just before kick-off in the match against Kilmarnock, as he was taken to hospital.

For The Courier, and at the end of the match, the Dundee coach, Tony
Docherty
gave his news, he who had visibly fallen ill. Moreover, the meeting at Dens Park was delayed until 3:15 p.m. for what was officially and initially described as a “incident in the stadium”.
It was in fact for the former Bordeaux player.

“It was very destabilizing. It’s a credit to the players for handling the situation the way they did. Julien had an episode in the locker room, while we were all sitting waiting for me to address the team. He passed out, I think. He was taken to hospital as a precaution. But he's fine now, I'm happy to say. It's not pleasant for the players to see that. It was very worrying at that time. We experienced a similar situation at the start of the season with Big Mo Sylla. It's difficult for the players and staff to see that, but they showed strength of character, a real mentality and real resilience. Julien was after the match in the locker room celebrating. He went to the hospital as a precaution but he is fine”
