R1. Ginglin – Saint-Renan : 7-1
It didn't take long for the prolific Costa Rican attack to start talking. Diarra exploited a blind serve from the excellent Richard (1-0, 1'). On a well-executed counterattack, Joulain escaped and offered Richard the second goal (23', 2-0). The Ex-Langueusian gave relief to the performance of his colors by volleying a clear corner in the axis (42', 3-0). On the ropes, the Finisterians showed more determination but were punished with a sumptuous transition game. Marie-Rose, Richard and Joulain combined. And the last named won his duel against Thiebault, the Rennes goalkeeper (54', 4-0).
A hat-trick for Sylvain Richard
The powerful Soba, replacing Joulain (injured), scored twice (64', 5-0; 67', 6-0). And the inevitable Richard completed his XXL performance and the offensive festival of the Ginglinais while vista (81', 7-0). Just before, Corentin Kérébel reduced a hefty addition from the penalty spot (73', 7-1). “It was a six-point match after our defeat at La Montagnarde. We know our strength in attack. We are sending a strong message to our adversaries. And we put ourselves back in the top three,” analyzed a satisfied Steven Papin, the Aiglons coach, who was awaiting examinations to find out the nature of Aurélien Joulain’s injury. In the opposite camp, Sébastien Le Franc did not recognize his team: “We lacked intensity in the duels. We had a lot of technical waste. We knew that Ginglin was very good in transition. Well done to them. We were not able to counter them.”
