The first scorer of the match between AS Saint-Étienne and Strasbourg (2-0), Mickaël Nadéstopped at our microphone. He notably reveals a nice anecdote just before the corner which he took victoriously at the far post.
Mickaël Nadé returns first to the victory of ASSE: “Yes of course, we are relieved. We are very happy, especially since it was a successful match, defensively we kept a clean sheet, so we are very happy. It's not easy, we were in doubt, we were able to raise our heads. On a personal level, I am very happy with my goal and I hope to continue like this. (…) It’s certain that it gives us confidence for the future and this trip to Lyon. We are in good spirits, today, we won and we are going to go there and approach this match in the best possible way. (…) This victory is for everyone, when we win we are together and it's the same when we lose. It's not the coach or other people who are primarily responsible, it's us. Today we won, we are happy and we hope to continue like this. (…) Of course everyone became aware. The entrants, in this match, were very good. They helped us, we won today, we are very happy for everyone.“
Subsequently, the defender talks about his goal and notably delivers a nice anecdote just before it, about his duel with Doucouré : “Honestly, I'm an attacker! (laughs) More seriously, I felt the blow, I saw that Lucas (Stassin) deflected the ball with his head, I told myself that I had to follow, that it cost me nothing and that made me 'smiled today. (…) Ismaël Doucouré took off my shoelace, to tickle me. I asked the referee to wait for me to put it back and I think that distracted him more than me, he was on me marking and I managed to score. (…) In training it's true that I like the far post but I often miss. Everyone told me to stop with the far post, I told them to leave me, that they don't worry, and that I was going to score three or four goals in the season (smile). Today is the first.”
An anecdote which echoes the words of his coach a few minutes earlier at a press conference: “We can't tell you everything (smile) but Mika' was happy, yes. He gets frustrated in training because he often has big chances at the far post and he doesn't make one. We worked with him on this point… We knew he was going to score at the far post, it was a question of time, I told him.”
