In front of their home crowd, LOSC was unable to extract more than a point from their duel with Olympique Lyonnais (1-1). A result that is a source of disappointment for Kevin Diaz, consultant of l’After Foot.
It was a repeat for the Mastiffs this Friday who, for the third time in a row (3-3, 3-4, 1-1), ended up losing their ground in their enclosure against Olympique Lyonnais. Likewise, they do not take advantage of the disappointment of AS Monaco, defeated by Angers (0-1) at the opening of the tenth day of the championship. LOSC was thus overtaken by its old demons at home and it is for all these reasons that there is reason to be disappointed:
“It is rather the people of Lille who may be the least satisfied with this resultdecides Kevin Diaz first. They started well and had a very strong first half. They had the opportunities to lead with at least a two-goal gap at the break. But they failed to materialize their very good pressing, their aggressiveness, their defense by moving forward. In the second half, they disappeared a little. I don’t know if it’s physical, but they really suffered from the awakening of the Lyonnais”he analyzed.
Opposite on the set, Lionel Charbonnier does not share this point of view. From its angle, it was Olympique Lyonnais who missed the mark, while LOSC was able to take advantage of the Rhone gifts:
“I think that the Lyonnais completely missed their first period. They were completely cornered, couldn't make three passes. They missed out, eaten away by the Lille midfielder. They only played backwards and that benefited the opposing pressure. They paid for it in cashbegins the old Auxerrois. On the other hand, in second, I don't think Lille was bad, but it was Lyon who did badly with clearly better passing circuits. Everyone was in their place. It was Lyon who went for the equalizer. LOSC did not miss out in my eyes, so the Lyonnais can harbor regrets”he says on the radio waves RMC.
To conclude their discussions, Kevin Diaz decided to highlight the work carried out by Olivier Létang (see below), president of LOSC, but also the overall performance of Benjamin André. In his eyes, the captain of the Mastiffs once again responded this Friday.
