To everyone's surprise, Maxime Lopez signed up for Ligue 2 with Paris FC this summer. Since then, the Parisian club has been bought by the Arnault family in partnership with Red Bull and promises to be a very serious project in French football. But first of all, we have to move up to Ligue 1…
And last night, the partners of the former resident of the OM training center were manhandled by Rodez at home. The PFC was even trailing three goals to one on home soil when Maxime Lopez took responsibility at the hour mark and pulled this little wonder out of his hat to revive his team.
A goal which is reminiscent of the one he scored a few weeks ago against Grenoble.
Last night, the PFC snatched a three-goal draw and remained at the top of the Ligue 2 standings.

“The transfer window was not easy for me”
At the beginning of September, the former Marseille player explained his choice on RMC: “I especially didn't want to return to Sassuolo. There have been some conflicts with management in the past. They blocked me from a transfer to Brighton at the time (where his former coach Roberto De Zerbi was officiating). It was something I had a hard time swallowing. The transfer window was not easy for me. Paris FC, through my brother, contacted me. There is an ambitious project at the PFC. From the start, they respected me in all the discussions we had. Really. My brother had a hard time believing it. To be honest, it was me who sent a first message to the president (the sports director in reality, editor's note) Ferracci in a joking tone. I sent a photo with my brother saying, “this will be the next Lopez duo at PFC”. From there, it took off. Afterwards we started very advanced discussions. »
