As LOSC celebrates its 80th anniversary, Christophe Galtier expressed his incomprehension about his absence on the visual published by the club. The former player and coach of the northern club posted a message that was ironic to say the least on his social networks.
LOSC “forgets” Christophe Galtier
In a little less than a month, very precisely on November 25, LOSC will officially celebrate its 80th anniversary. For the occasion, the current leaders of the northern club launched a whole series of festivities, including the edition of a box set limited to 771 copies including a collector's jersey of a player who played at the club. This Wednesday, the club's social networks changed their appearance, notably with the publication of an event poster launching the countdown to the anniversary match on November 24 against Rennes.
On this one, we find the men who made the history of LOSC, whether players like the current captain Benjamin Andrewpresidents like Michael Seydoux or even the notable coaches of the contemporary era like Rudi Garcia and Vahid Halildozic. However, one man is missing and not the least… Christophe Galtier. Coach of the Northerners between 2017 and 2021, the native of Marseille nevertheless allowed the club to win its fourth and last French Champion title.
A lack of taste which left Christophe Galtier unmoved, who officially reacted on his Linkedin account: “A happy birthday to LOSC and all its supporters. Don't you think there's a person missing from this poster? It's not like this person hasn't played three seasons and coached the team for four seasons with these results: second, fourth and first. Did anything happen in 2021??? I say that, I say nothing”.
As a reminder, the divorce between Christophe Galtier and LOSC, in particular Olivier Létang, had been complicated in the summer of 2021, even though he had reported a large transfer fee, from Nice, to the French champion of the 'era.
