“It’s a very nice week and we’re going to make the most of it” admits Olivier Létang after RC – LOSC

Olivier Létang was obviously happy this Saturday, following LOSC's victory over RC at the Stade Bollaert-Delelis (0-2). The questions from journalists in the mixed zone nevertheless mainly focused on the one and only Lucas Chevalier.

You have just experienced a week that supporters will remember for a long time, and you too?

We are very happy, but I repeat it every time, the most important match is the next one. We haven't won anything yet. We have a group that has incredible abilities and high-level sport is a requirement. Today, we feel this state of mind throughout the club. It’s a very, very good week for the club. We're going to enjoy it a little, because we have a little respite (a week before the tenth day, editor's note), but we're going to quickly look forward to what's next.

A penalty was awarded to LOSC, do you think there is a hand?

Yes. Afterwards, it's a question of interpretation. I wouldn't tell you that there are no penalties. The hand is quite clear, obvious, it seems logical to call a penalty.

Did you find that your players were too demonstrative?

There was indeed Lucas, but he is from Lille, who trained at the club, and heard jeers behind him for 90 minutes. He was told to remain measured and respectful. We have a lot of respect for everyone, it’s very important. But yes, there is a lot of satisfaction. I still recall the sequence of matches with Monaco, back from the international break, with Atlético de Madrid, who had not lost at home for several years… Perhaps we were missing one thing, that is is a little freshness. But we can understand it. That's why to get this result here, in these conditions, hats off to the players, Bruno and the staff. I am very happy. We experienced emotions and had fun this week, since the start of the season. As you have seen, our DNA is to always want to win, regardless of the schedule and the fact of having three away matches.

You didn't really answer the question, what do you think of Lucas Chevalier's attitude?

He's a young boy and I don't want to hold that back. He's a great guy, and I don't want to stigmatize that. There is frustration. You have to know what it's like to play a derby on a psychological level. There's a lot of adrenaline. Once again, as long as we are human, we are not perfect. Lucas wanted to savor this victory. There's a line that shouldn't be crossed, but that's not what I wanted to remember.
